Attic 24 Ripple Blanket Border

I am loving the rich sandy hues and the gentle ripply pattern and the fact that i am crocheting a blanket inspired by attic24 but not exactly the same.

For the border the first row i used double crochets and then a row of trebles in beige one of the dominant colours in my blanket then two rows of double crochet in navy then two rows of double crochet in denim then rounds 3 and 4 of your pattern in navy and taupe and it is lying perfectly flat. I tried ravellry then a general internet search for something that appealed and the first useful link was back to your blog. In the seven years that i ve been crocheting i ve made three adult sized ripple blankets and two baby sized ripple blankets oh and one ripple cushion too. Picture above from left to right. Once i sat down and lined the colours up i decided to change up the ripple a bit. I still followed attic24 s neat ripple pattern but i varied the colour changes because i didn t want any one colour to totally dominate the blanket. What am i missing. By lucy of attic24.
